Who else thinks that there may be some sort of "their fates were intertwined" thing with the Straw Hats?
Like when we finally see a flashback to Gold Roger, we see that Zeff was the cook on his ship and Doctor Hiriluk is the doctor or maybe Nico Olivia is there too and we see them drinking in a bar with Tom-san even. What do you think?

That would certainly be interesting. We already know Tom helped Roger, but Zeff was clearly a captain.

He was a captain, but started out somewhere. Like how Shanks and Buggy were once cabin boys.

Maybe Shanks and Buggy served under Roger.
Or Whitebeard. Because Buggy told he met Whitebeard head on when he first went on the grand line. And we still haven''t seen him continue the story... and Ace is still on is ship XD"

That'd be interesting, but no way, each person has their own story, I don't see them having been with Roger. Zeff was a captain, why would he want to conquer the Grand Line when he already had? And if Olivia was already with Roger, she probably would have known about the government and such.
The doctor, however, might actually be true, she's definitely old, seems like she was once a great fighter, plus seems to know a lot about Roger.

He means Hiriluk, not Doctorine. Hiriluk already has shown he has the soul of a pirate, but his flag seems to be centered more along cherry blossoms than what Gold Roger would have, but it could have been made after his healing.

I wouldn't really like tht to be honest.
I wouldn't really like tht to be honest.
Same.
It's a nice idea, but then it would just get too... "yay let's be magical and save the world from aliens" kind of "you are the chosen one..." story. DD:
If I want that I'll just watch Lost lol.

I dunno, I think that might seem a bit overdone for One Piece, esp. if they were ALL intertwined >_>
It'd be a bit much (IMHO)

yeah, seems a little too dramatic. also, i doubt hiriluk was an actual doctor. if he was an actual doctor, he would have been able to help people better as opposed to administering crack stuff. i always though he had the aura of a former captain.

How would Zoro fit into it?

His master taught him about the breath of all things, so he must be a hardcore swordsman. The pirate king must have had a hardcore swordsman.
I'm not saying I would like that in the story, it was just a theory.
