First thing, VIZ dubs and edits Naruto, Cartoon Network does nothing but air it.

Second, maybe VIZ didn't want to purchase the rights to the song, or they thought that the original Japanese opening would be to confuzing to the younger fans.
I don't know, I don't work at VIZ.

And third, as Zeig said, what? Just because it's not Japanese now it's uncool and should be shunned?

The 4th season opening is too long. They all are. The current dub opening is quite a bit shorter I believe, and there's no closing theme. I'm not sure what the official runtime is on the show (no commercials) but I'm pretty sure it's too short to allow an opening other than the one currently used.

^ VIZ could do something like Funimation did with FMA and speed up openings and endings up, so there's a possiblity.

Viz doesn't have the broadcasting rights to the OPs or EDs. So they can put the song on the DVD, but they can't show it on tv.

I think it would be cool to use the song from the Japanese version without dubbing! They hsould just use it the way it is! People in Japan don't know what "Fighting Dreamers" means in American and we dont know much about the Japanese part of the song. Its a combonation of Japanese and English. It would be cool to use it.
