the movies are non canon so they have no place within the actual series, except the bardock move and the history of trunks which were referred to in the anime/manga

Movie 3 - After the Saiyajin battle
Movie 4 - Before Namek
Movie 5 - After Namek before Androids
Movie 6 - After Movie 5
Movie 7 - Between Namek & Cell Saga
Movie 8 - Between Namek & Cell Saga
Movie 9 - After Cell
Movie 10 - Before the World Tournament
Movie 11 - Right after Buu is released
Movie 12 - During the middle of the Buu Saga
Movie 13 - After Buu

They are not canon like mentioned, but some attacks and characters could be spoilers.
