Gandalf that we all know from Lord of the Rings, book feats allowed.
Against
David Lo Pan from Big trouble in little china.
Winner gets the Green Eyed Elf chick!
Hmm both came back from the dead so to speak. I take it this is lo pan when he regains life otherwise hes a immortal ghost.
I give it to Gandalf myself. Lo Pan was fighting even with that chinese geezer while Gandalf was taking on Sauron and masses of orcs. Lo Pan could stand a chance though if he used his open wide and temporaly blind no justu.
Lo Pan takes it on style though :thumbs

I think it's actually a rather difficult showdown to predict. Sure, Gandalf has Lo Pan outclassed in power by miles. Lo Pan is a pretty impressive warlock but Gandalf is a frickin' seraph incarnate, wielding a fragment of divine energy at his leisure.
However, I recall that Gandalf's magic is quite cumbersome with him having to use intricate chants, codewords and gestures to set off the fireworks. I also recall that Lo Pan's magic is rather instantaneous, which will give him a huge speed advantage.
Whatmore... they seem both need magical foci to cast their more powerful spells. In Gandalf's case an enchanted staff, in Lo Pan's case an enchanted ring. I bet you my bottom krona that a staff is more easily disarmed than a fingerring. Especially if the guy wearing the ring gets the initiative.
Then there's the issue of melee. As The Slips mentioned, Gandalf does kick serious amounts of ass in swordfights while at least your truly has a hard time remembering Lo Pan getting physical with anyone. Of course that doesn't necessarily mean that he CAN'T (after all... he is in a movie filled with chinese stereotypes) but since we never see/hear it can't be considered relevant factor.
Of course... I never got the impression that Gandalf was the type who takes on a magicwielder with cold steel. If he goes up against another sorcerer I'm quite certain that he would consider it a battle of magicks. If he knew that Lo Pan has a speed advantage in spellcasting he might reconsider but I don't recall anyone mentioning prep time. I say it's the wizardy version of a speedblitz that gives Lo Pan this fight.
70/30 in Lo Pan's favor. Gandalf gets KTFU but since he's effectively immortal he might very well respawn and come crash Lo Pan's tea party when the old geezer least expects it. As the saying goes: payback is a bitch!

Lo Pan is gangsta. Represent...Lo Pan gets this because Plot No Jutsu renders Gandalf unable to do anything at all.

Gandalf is a demi-god. Nuff said.
