LOTR thread inspired bye Insipidipity
Konoha vs the army of orcs that attacked Helm's Deep
Rules
Its night
30% of the army are Uruks
All seige weapons included
A new Uruk is spawned every 1 minute.
Current Konoha no dead nins.
No boss summon's
Prep time 12 hours
So basically the orcs have the number advantage but Konoha have magical nins. Victory for the orc army would include wiping out Konoha
Victory for Konoha would be wiping out the hugh army the spawns are stopped when the last orc falls

How do they get around a new orc being spawned every minute though? That makes the number of enemies they face infinite.

With prep time, I believe that Konoha can pull it off.

Why because Konoha has plenty of big justu's (Jiraiya's hell swamp for example) to wipe out large portions of orcs. Hence the respawing brings a diffrent factor to the battle.
Basically its all about time if Konoha doesnt come through quick enough the numbers will be agaisnt them

Kill fast. He said that the last orc has to fall so therefore Konoha must be able to kill fast in order to win.
Konoha is too damn powerful although the town would almost be in rubble by the time the battle ends.

No dead nins even if he was alive he couldnt kill all the orcs on his tod.

Konoha pulls a win here, there are just too many ways they can wipe out the Orcs/Uruks en masse, and they are individually so much more powerful. Katsuya alone could cause 4 digit casualties in minutes.

Konoha took down 2 villages' invasion with their strongest shinobi distracted and isolated. ~7000 orcs and ~3000 Urak-hai. Meh.
Their opponents are basically like special jounin except without jutsus. Orcs are like genin without jutsus but weapons training.
Actually ignore all that, I think if they had preptime, Gai(with all the gates he can muster), Tsunade, and Chouza could do it alone, by lifting up a giant(I'm talking the size of a mountain) stone slab out of the earth and slamming it on them. Game over orcs. Any survivors can be cleaned up by Hiashi(scanning the area with Byakugan)
I'd say they could do it.

Sorry, even without the Boss Sumons there are sub boss summons that could do the same job, or just large techniques, or chained techniques. The army has no chance.

Jiraiya's Underworld Swamp Jutsu defeated those two summoned snakes and was dubbed 'poor' by Jiraiya because it wasn't a full powered Jutsu!
Konoha with prep time could have traps set up, Kunai with exploding tags, smoke bombs, any speciale equipment like Chouji's pills etc, they could all be drugged up on Soldier Pills....
That all before any Jutsus, Konoha takes this since quantity is no subsitute for quality.

Actually it's the fact that the quality also have variety. If not for that, it would be wholly possible for quantity to overcome quality. Say if every shinobi in Konoha only knew Chidori. It's great for taking out a single powerful opponent, but not a ton of weaker ones. Super powerful focused jutsu is no substitute for area of effect jutsus against massive number of opponents, and area of effect jutsus is no substitute for focused jutsu for a strong opponent.
Fortunately, Konoha has plenty of Area of effect jutsus.

Konoha would win. The orcs are not too impressive in terms of battle tactics compared to Konoha and the ninjas would be able to come up with a way to neutralize the orcs.

When I first looked at this thread I thought it was for warcraft orcs.... My first question was going to be "what level..."
Noooo I have a serious dislike of warcraft it took away a good year of my life :)

Same XD Only I thought of Warhammer orcs, and meant to ask if they were Warhammer 40k orcs XDD poor konoha
