Luffy and the Shichibukai

I've noticed that a lot of people think that Luffy will become a Shichibukai. I disagree with this, but I do look at it at both angles before I decide fully.

The reason people think Luffy will become a Shichibukai:

Because every Shichibukai so far has an animal in their name, and so does MONKEY D. Luffy.

The reason I think Luffy will not become a Shichibukai:

I do not think Luffy will become a Shichibukai because there is no way he's going to start working for the Government and making agreements with them. That's not Luffy. Plus, he hates the Government.

I was just wondering what other people think.

Before getting up to the Davy Back fight, I heard Foxy's name, and thought he was a member. Boy, was I wrong.

Yeah I doubt Luffy would ever become a Shichibukai...it's just not his character.

I don't see him ever becoming one. Isn't one of the requirements to leave your crew? I don't see Luffy ever abandoning the rest of his crew.

I think there are some people who don't know that the shichibukai work for the government, there was actually a point where I didn't know. So they probably think that Luffy would become one after gaining power.
