The Shin-Ra Corporation vs Galbadia

The Shin-Ra Corporation vs the Galbadian Army from FF8. Galbadia is not allowed to use its missile base and Shin-Ra is not allowed to use the Sister Ray, so no superweapons. Anything else like Airships and magic is fair game.

I've never played FFVIII so how strong are those Galbidian guys? Shin-Ra has SOLDIERS who are strong as hell....

They're considered one of the most powerful nations in FF8, regular infantry use both machine guns and blade weapons. Their elite soldiers have miniguns latched onto one of their arms. They also use APCs, some form of artillery, and missiles that are capable of hitting any target on the planet.

Oh and they use Robots as support weapons.

What planet does this take place on? Is Galbadia allowed Edea, Seifer or those robots they have endless supplies of? Either one spells easy victory for Galbadia.

Regardless, I see Galbadia winning. Shinra's only strengths (from what I remember) are it's money and SOLDIER. Their infantry sucks and money won't help much. SOLDIER's there best bet, but they are vastly outnumbered and their general is a dumbass. (Not Sephiroth, that one fat bastard)

Galbadia has endless supplies of advanced weaponry, and more than enough manpower (you fight the bastards for three fourths of the game). Seifer outsmarted Esther, the most powerful nation in FF8.

Hmm...lets make it on the FF8 world. Midgar and any other Shin-Ra base is transported near Timber. Since Edea is a superweapon herself, no. But robots and Seifer are allowed.

Well does Galbadia have a class of elite fighters like SOLDIER 1st Class? When FFVII Crisis Core come's out that's when we'll see just how strong SOLDIER was...until then the only people we know in SOLDIER are Zack and Sephiroth.

There aren't any groups of elites in the Galbadia military. However, they can contend with SeeD, which is a group of elite mercenaries trained from childhood, and are magically enhanced to be the best on their planet. While not as skilled as SeeD,(Galbadia soldiers were shiting themselves at the beginning of 8 when they learned they were fighting SeeD) they could probably hold their own.

The skills of SOLDIER is debatable, since they don't really appear very often in FF7, and when they do they are owned by your party. I doubt there are any more Zacks or Sephiroths in SOLDIER, but you never know.

Well there are others in 1st class who were stronger than Zack but they make their appeance in Crisis Core which isn't out yet.

But so far, I'm thinking Galbadia wins this...
