The language I wanna learn is greek. Probably because I've been reading alot of sherrilyn kennyon and her dark hunter books have alot of ancient greek.... references, I guess you could say.

I am from Greece. I think I can you. Greece is a wonderful country and greek a very good language with a big potential and history.

Translation - Μετάφραση
Θα ήθελα (επιθυμούσα) να μάθω ελληνικά, θα μπορούσες απλά να μου πεις κάποια βασικά; (όπως την αλφαβήτα ή μερικούς χαιρετισμούς, ρήματα, κτλ.)
Note: the ';' means '?'

A tip for the teacher: your student will get it better, if you explain the pronounciation in the roman alphabet. It'll be easier I think.

Βήτα (Ββ) - like v
Γάμα (Γγ) - like y in the word you
Δέλτα (Δδ) - like th in the word the
Έψιλον (Εε) - like e in the word the sensei
Ζήτα (Ζζ) - like z
Ήτα (Ηη) - like 'e' Lee
Θήτα (Θθ) - like th in the word theme
(Γ)Ιώτα (Ιι) - like 'i' and η
Κάπα (Κκ) - like k key
Λάμδα (Λλ) - like l like

In greek Simple Present and Present Continuous are the same. They are just called Present (Ενεστώτας).

i think it would be better to learn them how to speak in greek than write.. :)
so it would be nice to write words in greeklish style..

Hmmm... You know, on most PCs the font "Symbol" is actually Greek letters. =P Just an interesting tidbit. I have a friend who can write in Greek(so can I, but not as well xD) and we occasionally write things using the letters to code our notes to each other. I don't actually understand any Greek though. o____o
