things in cartoons don't have to be realistic, hence gum-gum.

It's called a joke.
Anyway, I really don't know what you're talking about. Their clothes are constantly getting scratched up in every arc.
In addition, with the exception of Luffy and Usopp, the main characters change their clothes every arc. So, what are you getting at?
You can assume that Luffy and Usopp simply having spares of their current clothing...or that it's just an anime/manga thing. Nearly all Shounen manga have recurring clothes.

I'd prefer calling it Anime. I think there's a difference. :)
Lol, too right. :laugh Like Mr. 4's Dog in the Arabasta Arc, which was originally a gun that ate a Devil Fruit. :P (I mean, what the hell!? xD)
Anyway, on topic, on Arabasta's Arc, people like Zoro and Nami get their clothes ripped up and battered. o.O

Well, unlike the dub version, the original also features Zoro's skin being cut, too.

They got like... partially digested, too.
Anime's are like that, that simple. :amuse

@TenshiOni, I think Usopp changes his clothes in the Skypeia arc...he puts a shirt on under his overalls.
On topic, this kind of thing happens a lot in anime.

the only weird thing to think about is how they find their replacement clothes, like luffy's vest and usopp's overall (though they hardly get tattered) and zoro's constant ripping of his white shirt
