Rewrite Gundam Seed & Seed Destiny

Here is a challenge for all gundam enthusiasts out there!
Pick either Gundam Seed or Destiny and tell how you would rewrite it in order to make it better.
Please try to do a few things:
1. Don't make it a UC clone, we know how UC works, so we don't need to make it again.
2. Don't add any new major characters or kill off important characters too soon.
3. Try to limit the number of new suits, and try to make fulll use of all the major suits, etc.

Other than that, rewrite away!

The only changes I'd make would be to make the Earth forces a little more competent, especially early on in the series. Even vs. generic ZAFT Mobile Suits, Earth Forces couldn't so much as scratch ZAFT. Aside from Archangel and Kira, everyone sucked and were little more then cannon fodder.

More fights between Kira and Shinn.

Having Cagalli fighting in Akatsuki in space instead of Mwu.

Athrun stealing Legend instead of a Gouf, then giving Legend to Mwu.

There's a million other things too but that's just a few I came up with now.

And about making it so that Naturals owning Coordinators in the original SEED at the start, it was impiled to show how far behind the Naturals were in technology wise and somewhat genetically. The G-Series were are compliment to the coordinators' skill. I just didn't like how everyone had MS in GSD, it was cooler where the coordinators had the upperhand.

And just like Mindless, there are too many changes to list that I would have liked to seen in GSD.

Earth Alliance had like a 100 to 1 advantage in numbers. Sure it was okay at the space station, but a fleet of at least 50 cruiser to battleship sized ships with perhaps hundreds of mobile armors got wiped out by 3 cruisers and perhaps only a dozen mobile suits.

Hell, the suits should have had to return for a recharge at least once considering how much damage they put out.

It was totally ridiculous. It was so sad I couldn't help but laugh.

Well it made sense for the ZAFT suits not to return for a recharge seeing as how they were not PS armored and did not use energy based weapons.

The 4 terrors were what did most of the damage and 3 of those used PS armor while the 4th used a heavy particle beam ALOT.

I think Athrun should have been 'bad' for a little longer, instead of being given Justice and then joining Kira straight away. I mean they did truely hate each other for killing there friends.
Would have added more Hawke sisters X Athrun too in GDS :) maybe kept stella alive but as a vegetable.

actually... i have only one thing i want to change... the fact that almost everybody gets a gundam... like it was ok for shinn to get one but rey and even luna got one (though impulse is a hand me down). i want more guys that do great ass pwning while not using gundams... greatest examples in GSD? we have yzak, dearka, shiho, and my personal favorite, the DOM trio... GSD was a complete gundam overload...

If given the chance to rewrite GSD (I'm quite contented with GS, thank you. :)), I'd like to make these things happen:


More development for Shinn, way beyond than his "I lost my family" angst.
More mobile suit battles that involve Lunamaria. Also make her do SEED mode.
Kira will only appear in one part of the series and will never use a Gundam (just like Amuro in Zeta Gundam), and will NEVER get involved in the main storyline, hence Shinn is still the hero of GSD.
Have Athrun remain as Shinn's support man. Exclude the part where he becomes a pimp.
Balanced use of the other Impulse Gundam packs. Shinn used the Force Impulse for the majority of the series, that the other packs weren't developed much. That's how I think.
Less Gundams. Too much of something is bad.
Make the Destiny Gundam have more creative attacks, like how Shinn did with the Impulse in his fight against Freedom.


For specifics, um, I guess I'll leave it to fanfic writers. Right now, I don't have the creative juices to make my suggestions into writing.

I didnt actually finish Destiny yet. Im on like episode 48. I have no idea what happens between Kira and Shinn, but:

Shinn beats the friggin crap out of Kira.
Goes home, gets laid by Lunamaria

No Gundams on the ZAFT side, save for 1... Destiny.

I'll give a proper rewrite later on of Destiny. =)

- Actually develop the Minerva crew.
- Kira wouldn't appear till episode 30 or so.
- No Strike Freedom or Infinite Justice. The originals would be rebuilt and piloted upon Kira's return.
- Cagalli would escape on her own with Akatsuki and the Archangel, gain moderate usage of SEED mode, and fight Athrun while Shinn dealt with the druggies.
- More Shinn and Kira fights. Like, twelve of em', before they team up in the final episode to fight Gil, who is in a big ass Gundam.
- Mwu would get either Chaos, a Modded Strike (with funnels), or Akatsuki.
- More Yzak, Dearka and Shiho battles.
- More Alliance involvement.

And then, at the end, the universe explodes :nod . Huh, I might actually write this...
