Well I'm not German but I can give you the basics for now:

Lesson 1- Declination of ,,to be" (sein)

Ich bin (I am)
Du bist (You are)
Er ist (He is)
Sie ist (She is)
Es ist (It is)
Wir sind (We are)
Ihr seid (You are)
Sie sind (They are)

It's irregular of course. Now here's, to compare, declination of regular verb: to make (machen)

Ich mache
Du machst
Er, Sie, Es macht
Wir machen
Ihr macht
Sie machen

Important: All of the nouns are starting with BIG letter.
Important: German says what is male or female by pacing ,,der", ,,die", or ,,das" in front of every such noun. I highly reccomend you learn nouns with the ,,der die das", cause those are VERY IMPORTANT and change when declining neouns. It'll be much easier in the future if you learn them now, at the bigginning.

For example:
Der Hund (dog)
Die Katze (cat)
Das Kanninchen (rabbit)

Some Basic phrases (I don't have German letters on my keyboard, so I'll try to raplace them)

Ich heisse XYZ (My name is XYZ)
Guten Morgen (Good morning)
Guten Tag (Good afternoon)
Guten Abend (Good evening)
Getue Nacht (Good night)
Danke schoen (Thank you)
Danke (Thanks)
Aufwiedersehen (Goodbye)

And I guess this is quite good to know:
Ich kann nicht verstehen (I don't understand)
Ich verstehe nicht (the same as above)
Ich kann nicht Deutch sprechen (I don't speak German)

Good for start I'd say

Can I join to I know alot of German to ^_^

Das is used for like if you were going to say mother,Granmother,etc.

Der is used for like father,grandfather,etc.

when writing in geman when you see a B it = ss

well it's not a B because it's a little different looking
but it' just mean double ss

when you put it in a word B well upper cased

like if you did this for example

Ich heisse

Ich heiBe (sorry I don't have any of the keys to show in german so I don't have any to show you what the symbol for double ss looks like but it looks like a upper case B with a tail)

it's still pronounsed the same with the B instead of ss

Great Marta if you have a better way of explain it go right a head lol
sorry if it's confussing for you what i wrote

I well great all my german stuff tomorrow and put it on here ^_^

The articles der, die, das have to be learned for every word, because there is no major rule when which article is used.

About the ß: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%9F

I don't agree with that.

You see, in English language, people divide into masculimun and femininum. Everything else is ,,it" - neutrum.

In German language, everything, even dead objects, still nature and all else can be as well masculinum or femininum as neutrum.

I know, because it's the same with Polish language. Everything can be one of those three types. Although, most of things are different than in German. For example, Polish define a cat species as masculinum (ten kot, he) and German as femininum (Die Katze, she).

DER = MASCULINUM
DIE = FEMININUM
DAS= NEUTRUM

If something is plural, you use DIE

Now, Lesson next: A few useful questions:

Wie heisst du? (What's your name?)
Wie alt bist du? (How old are you?)
Wie viel Uhr ist es? (What's the time?) Literally: How much hour is it?
Wie spaeth ist es? (same as above) Literally: How late is it?
Woher kommst du? (Where do you come from?)
Was ist das? (What is it?)
Wer ist das? (Who is it?)
Ist das dein X? (Is it your X?) masculinum or neutrum
Ist das deine X? (same as above) femininum
Wo ist mein X? (Where is my X) masculinum or neutrum
Wie viel kostet es? (How much is it?) Literally: How much does it cost?

Basicly"
Wer = Who
Was = What
Wo = Where
Wie = How
Woher = Where from
Wem = To whom
Womit = What with (in meaning, in help of what, by using what)

About when: it's either wann or wen, I'm never sure of it.

Any special wishes?

A little vocabulary:

sein = to be
haben = to have
essen = to eat
machen = to make
gehen = to go
laufen = to run
spielen = to play
sprechen = to speak (irregular, that later)
lernen = to learn

lesen = to read (irregular, that later)

DER Lehrer = teacher
DER Schuler = pupil/student
DIE Schule = school
DER Kuli = pen
DER Bleitshtift = pencil
DAS Heft = copybook
DAS Buch = book
DIE Tafel = blackboard
DER Gummi = eraser
DAS Lineal = ruler
