X-men
Cyclops
Wolverine
Gambit
Classic Rogue
Colossus
Storm
Nightcrawler
(i didn't wanna put jean grey, any psychic, or iceman in the fight for obvious reason. Shadowcat too. This team is somewhat well rounded for the purpose of the battle. Exceot Storm who could own the planet. Rofl.:P )
The Greatest Naruto Ninja's
Sarutobi
Yondaime
Orochimaru
Gaara when he had Shuhaku
Jiraiya
Tsunade
Deidara
(I didn't wanna put Itachi in the fight, because people would just type he looks at them and wins)
(i didn't wanna put Sasori in the fight just becaue.)
All combattants can use there abilties to there fullest potential. Except Gambit!:) :nuts
That means all the summons can come out, Shuhaku included.
Edo tensai can be used. Shiki Fujin can be used, if it can actually get a hit.
EVERYTHING!!!!!!
The same goes for the X-men.
Which team would win ?
To win is either by death, or by long term Knockout.

Yeah, I'd have to go with the X-Men as well. Storm could win on her own... or something. Maybe with Cyclop's and Colossus' help.

Depending on teh wolverine, no ninja can kill him. He'll just regenereate all kunai, ninjutsu and explosive note injuries. Genjutsu might not work because He'd know any injury he suffers would be regenerated, thus negating certain Genjutsus. Taijutsu would hurt, but not break his bones. And Collosus cannot be hjurt by anyone. He can take a .45 bullet in the eye without flinching. Don't think many nija hit that hard.
Storm can just blow up narutoverse? There is no ninja in naruto who can equally fight storm, Storm > Naruto Ninja

Cyclops can probably kill most of these people alone.
Anyone that Cyclops can't kill, would get thier heads teleported off by Nightcrawler.
Poor Narutoverse, they are getting the hell beat out of them a lot lately. :cry

Well I know that Sarutobi could kill anyone with the Death God, (yes even your precious Wolverine) but I don't know how Saurtobi would kill Colossus since he can't die. So I see it being a draw unless someone knocks Colossus out for a long period of time.

Well, back after graduating college and a month hiatus with no internet. Huzzah!
*Sigh*
Juggernaut? Jean Grey? Did any of you actually READ the stipulations?
I'll pick the Naruto Ninjas for a majority of the victories, and I'll explain why.
Storm is getting MASSIVELY overrated here. Yes, she can summon hurricanes... and Gaara can summon a sand dome large enough and thick enough to protect all the ninjas from any adverse harm. Or they could simply use Dotons to hide inside the ground.
Not only this, but Storm is very vulnerable to anti-air attacks, as she isn't especially fast while flying. Deidara's birds or Gaara's sand could swat her out of the air with few problems as they have serious speed and maneuverability on their side.
Cyclops might get one ninja at best. Looking at ninjas doesn't work well when they are on a completely different level of speed. He might catch one off-guard, but otherwise he'd be hard-pressed getting a bead to hit one. Once someone closes the distance, he'd probably get killed via jutsu or kunai in the back.
Gambit and Rogue I don't see being problems. Gambit is just throwing explosives; Naruto ninjas are pretty good at dealing with that, and are far more deadily with their own since they have an advantage in both speed and accuracy. Rogue just doesn't strike me as a problem maker; super-strength or no, there are enough people there with long-distance powers that could simply beat the stuffing out of her before she could get close enough.
I see someone like Tsunade being excellent at keeping someone like Wolverine out of the fight. The little nerve disruptor, coupled with few super-punches would be good enough to disable him for someone to get a one-hit insta-kill on him (Death God, anyone?).
With Colossus, it's a question of whether or not the Kusanagi could cut him. If it could, Orochimaru would be more than a match. His speed and breadth of Jutsu would make the Man of Organic Steel into mince-meat. If not... his durability is certainly enough to hold him out for the others to figure out a way to destroy or disable him. Perhaps some sort of Genjutsu to put his mind into shock?
Nightcrawler presents a big problem. But to correct something said earlier: He can't teleport people to other planets. He can only teleport 3 to 5 miles (kms?) per BAMF (Or somewhere in that range). He'd be a huge bother, but I can see them figuring SOMETHING out.
In all honesty, the Ninja Team's ability to deal out HUGE attacks (Orochimaru's Poison Snake Katana Wave, Swamp of the Underworld, Boss Summons, #18 Special, Gaara's Imperial Funeral and Sand Requiem) would just destroy them. Gambit and Cyclops would get taken out in a massive sand wave, Deidara could hammer the two flyers in the group, and the rest are more than a match for Wolverine and Colossus. This isn't even considering the large speed difference between the two groups that would make the Ninjas especially hard to catch.
Can anyone write out a win for X-Men besides huge generalizations with the ninjas doing nothing to defend themselves? Because I have a hard time seeing the X-Men beating people with such powers.

The scenario in which you have this fight going is one where the X-men are basically standing there and getting there asses kicked.
Well let's start. Gaara sand wouldn't hold up to repeated hits from lightning or multiple tornadoes sorry. She could also nullify his sand attacks with her control over wind. She could also shroud the area in mist/fog so she can't be detected while she is flying and attacking. She at the very well take out a large number of ninjas by herself. I don't see too many ninjas dodging her lightning.
Now Cyclops, anyone in front of him is basically screwed. He could just take his visor off and take out many ninjas before he would get injured. Any kunai coming at him from the front would be useless. His optic blast is strong enough to punch holes through mountains, again Gaaras sand wouldn't stand up to that.
Rogue has Sunfires powers now not Ms. Marvels. She can't emit plasma from her body, fly, augment her strength to superhuman levels, and create a forcefeild of energy.Gambit well he's just a pimp.:P He's not limited to charging playing cards. He can charge anything not organic.
Colossus can lift 100tons atleast. 1 move could possibly take him out. The ninjas would get squashed, and then they would probably genjutsu him.:laugh
Nightcrawler....well there's all the ninjas right there. He would be too unpredictable for any ninja to land a hit on him. They would not be fast enough to keep up with his teleportation, he would kill most of the ninjas before they knew what happened. He can teleport there bodies away how would they combat this?
Wolverine depending on which one you use can heal major wounds in a couple minutes to days. So it really depends, if it's minutes I see him killing many ninjas before he gets incapacited, temporarily.:P

What evidence do you have to suggest that Gaara's sand couldn't stand up to lightning or a tornado? It stood up to Deidara's Number 18, which is powerful enough to wipe out a village in one shot. Lightning can't do that. A tornado may fair better but it certainly won't take his sand down instantly. You're also making the assumption that people will pairing off for one on one battles when both the X-Men and the Ninjas are team fighters. Both Gaara and Deidara can fight in the air, Gaara's style is essentially the same as it is on the ground, he just scowls and lets the sand do the work but Deidara is possibly the best airiel fighter there. He's very fast and agile on that bird of his, his smaller clay creations appear to be capable of real flight as well. They aren't just launched in a straight line, he can send them to circle or do whatever he wants. So while Gaara defends against Storm, Deidara can attack from behind or multiple angles with his clay while keeping Rogue at bay (it's classic Rogue remember with the Ms Marvel powers) who can fly but isn't a really powerful airborne fighter.
Cyclops is probably the only X-Man who could effectivley assist the two in the air, Gambit can't throw with enough power or accuracy to reach those in the air and fastball Wolverine is a straight projectile that can be dodged simply. However Cyclops has opponents on the ground to deal with, so he can't easily help Rogue or Storm. How often does he take off his visor too? Cyclops is a very restrained person, and doesn't cut loose like that too often. (It's also silly to assume that the ninja's will all line up in front of the X-Men to get shot like that. I could make the arguement that the Ninjas can just hide and kill the Majority of X-Men with a Kunai in the back, but I know that's retarded because Wolverine won't let them get caught like that and the rest of the X-Men won't go bumbling about like 'tards.) Orochimaru is probably Cyclops' worst opponent due to his freakiness, he can regrow anything Cyclops shoots off. Although Cyclops could probably blast back the majority of Orochimaru's jutsu that we've see, including Manda which is just a bigger target to cut loose against. If Orochimaru keeps mobile then Cyclops can't give him the big blast unless he wants to take out his team mates too, so it's more or less a stalemate here.
Jiraiya could take care of Colossus and Wolverine with relative ease, neither of the two are particularly fast or super agile so his Swamp of the Underworld could catch those two.
Gambit is ill placed in this fight, he simply doesn't have anything to effectivley fight with, Sarutobi would have him down in seconds.
Nightcrawler however is the real problem, he could teleport Wolverine and Colossus out and he posses a fair sized problem on his own. Although I'm not convinced it's as simple as teleporting and killing everyone at random, how many times have we seen Ninja's use replacements to avoid death?
At this stage I'd wager Storm would be down thanks to Deidara and Gaara, one of whom could hold back Rogue while the other takes out Cyclops from behind.
So the X-Men's team is three men down, but those that are left are effectivley invincible. All of the ninja's are still standing but they don't have anything that can give them a clear cut win.
I suspect Yondaime might be able to take down Colossus or Rogue (I'm not sure how invincible she actually is) with Rasengan but that's about it.
Bringing out the big guns like that summons will do nothing because Nightcrawler can teleport away, while everyone else just shrugs it off or regenerates. Summoning the Death God may be the only way to finish the others off. Wolverine will definetley kill some people while the Ninjas are trying out different Jutsu, he'd probably get Sarutobi, Jiraiya and Tsunade with relative ease. Orochimaru will just regrow again, Deidara is out of range, Yondaime is too fast and Gaara can catch him with the sand. Colossus and Rogue face the same problems. Nightcrawler might get Yondaime, but it's pretty unfair to have him in this fight considering we only know about three things he can do.
In all likely hood the fight would just come down to a stalemate with the winners being whoever tires last (Wolverine).

Cyclops doesn't only shoot in a straight line, he can do an arc of everything in front of him, and destroy everything. You can't dodge that, or regrow everything. Even if Nightcrawler can only teleport a few miles (which I know isn't true, I have a comic with him teleporting across the world to a fixed longitude/latitude provided by Prof X) if he teleports them a few miles up, they are screwed. Also, I think you are underestimating Classic Rogue's durability and strength. They aren't just going to be able to punch her out.

Cyclops still has to be aware of his team mates though, he can't just shoot wildly. To the best of my knowledge the size of the beam is also limited to the dimensions of the opening in his visor, which means at best he can cut Orochimaru in half, which we've seen posses no problems for him.
As for Nightcrawler, his power varies, I've got a comic where he's clearly exhausted after teleporting about four miles to meet Northstar. So at best he can manage the grab and drop a couple of times, but it'll probably only work on Jiraiya, Tsunade and Sarutobi. Yondaime could just as easily fix him with a tag and teleport back to him.

He could do it before the fighting started if he needed to. Everyone could duck near him, and he could take out everything in 360 degrees.

You do know that Cyclops can destroy mountains when he takes off his visor right?Storm could just cause massive tornadoes to blow ALL of Kohana away.
Oh no, really!? I'll take my thing back and-
No wait, no I won't. Yes, I do know this. Storm's powers are useless against a massive dome of sand, and Cyke's eyeblasts are useless against a massive wave of sand. And that's only if Gaara chooses that form: He could easily just move his way through the ground and trap him in Desert Coffin ala Kimmimaro the first time.
And this is talking from a Cyke fan.
The scenario in which you have this fight going is one where the X-men are basically standing there and getting there asses kicked.
No offense, but them moving isn't really necessary. They are completely outclassed in mobility by the ninjas (outside of Nightcrawler), and in all likelihood if they were to initiate all these mega-attacks you are talking about, they would HAVE to be sitting still so as not to get hit by each other.
X-Men don't rely on mobility. Ninjas DO. If anything, I'm in the right by saying the ninjas would make the first move and make themselves scarce.
Lightning just turns sand into glass at the spot where it hits. It has little to no penetrating power, which is why her most common attack is useless. Unless, of course, you want it to simply turn the thing into a few square feet at a time.
Repeated Tornadoes? *Shrugs* Gaara's sand wall stood up to far more destructive forces with #18 (Which had the power to destroy a city). A 20-foot wall of sand bound by his control wouldn't be hurt by Tornadoes when he simply binds it into place.
You're overrating Storm. Simply put, she's useless against someone with such a powerful defense. It's not like Gaara's sand will simply fly away; he has it under his complete control. It'll keep in place if he wants it to.
And this isn't even considering Shukaku coming out.
The problem is, it's doubtful any of the ninjas would stay infront of him for that long. Assuming that the ninjas start moving at the beginning of the battle, they exhibit speed that would be beyond his ability to react to. He wouldn't see them moving around (Except for maybe some blurs), and they'd simply knife him from behind.
Or they could simply Doton beneath the ground to avoid the shot and come up right behind him. Tsunade coming up behind him and cutting the muscles to his neck would severely impair his ability to fire accurately. Or Gaara could put his sand through the ground and simply put him in a Desert Coffin with his eyes facing upwards.
Cyke is a dead man. He doesn't have the mobility to avoid people, nor the durability to stand up to such attacks. Yeah, he has a street-sweeper attack. It's not like they couldn't be avoided or defended against. What about a triple Rashamon? What about Gaara's Shukaku shield, which is augmented by the strongest minerals in the ground? No offense, but the body of that Sentinel was still there, if blasted back.
Rogue has Sunfires powers now not Ms. Marvels. She can't emit plasma from her body, fly, augment her strength to superhuman levels, and create a forcefeild of energy.Gambit well he's just a pimp. He's not limited to charging playing cards. He can charge anything not organic.
Classic Rogue, which I assume means super-durability, flying, and super-strength. I still think that the flyers wouldn't stand up to an assault from both Gaara and Deidara.
Gambit = overrated. Yeah, the character is kinda cool, but his power is absolutely useless in this case. Can charge organics? I guess that's neat, but unless he's gonna charge up birds and send them at the ninjas, that power is completely useless. Like Cyke, he doesn't have the mobility or the durability to survive the bigger jutsus.
Colossus can lift 100tons atleast. 1 move could possibly take him out. The ninjas would get squashed, and then they would probably genjutsu him.
Ha. Ha ha. And I'm sure that Kakashi was just going to Chidori Itachi, right?
Genjutsu is extremely underrated, and no one in the X-Men team here has a defense against it. If we assume it is mildly telepathic, they still don't have a proper defense against such illusions. Lifting 100 tons doesn't mean crap when you are stuck in an illusion you can't escape from. Absolute Darkness, anyone?
And I still think that the Kusanagi could cut him.
Nightcrawler....well there's all the ninjas right there. He would be too unpredictable for any ninja to land a hit on him. They would not be fast enough to keep up with his teleportation, he would kill most of the ninjas before they knew what happened. He can teleport there bodies away how would they combat this?
If there's any X-Man I like better than Cyclops, it's Nightcrawler. He's bad-ass in so many ways, and I agree that'd he'd have the best defense against most of the ninjas attacks
But you are severely overestimating his reaction to the speed of the ninjas. Teleporting still takes time, even if it is a second. A ninja could be gone by then, and Yondaime could easily save any nin who gets teleported away with his own teleportation (Which has its advantages and disadvantages).
If any X-Man was going to last the fight, it would be Nightcrawler. Agreed. But the ninjas have better reaction time, and he'd be teleporting to where they just WERE rather than right where they are. He'd have trouble keeping track of them, and while he might be able to avoid their attacks, setting up his own would be tough against far faster foes.
Wolverine depending on which one you use can heal major wounds in a couple minutes to days. So it really depends, if it's minutes I see him killing many ninjas before he gets incapacited, temporarily.
No way. I disagree COMPLETELY.
Tsunade's nerve hit would keep him distracted for a few minutes, maybe more, which is more than enough time for a Death God Summon. He's not fast enough to hit ANY of these ninjas, who easily could run circles around him.
Alright, in the end I see most people underestimating the Ninjas Team's ability to defend and their ability to move. They have a massive speed advantage which no one on the X-Men Team can really stand up to. Dotons allow for unseen and protected movement, and even their jutsus can move unseen (Look at Orochimaru's Kusanagi attack on KN4, Gaara's Sand, and others).
The X-Men are simply outclassed.

Anyways, YES, I do know their powers. Storm doesn't necessarily start in the air, and she doesn't have the speed to outrun Deidara's flying bombs. She's not an especially fast flyer, nor is she maneuverable. Both Gaara and Deidara could take her out of the air and out of the game before she could do anything significant.
Drop a tornado on his head? Wow, real intelligent there. A shield of earth that is 20 feet thick won't be affected by a tornado. That's why tornado shelters are underground, idiot. Besides, the nins can close the distance to the X-Men underground and unseen, which means that Storm would have to start dropping storms ontop of her own teammates, which is highly unlikely.

Yes, thats one speedster who's only power is speed and he usually gives the X-men some trouble by himself. This fight is 7 people way faster then them who each have super strength, unique and deadly techniques, illusions, stealth, and are trained killers. Completely different from Quicksilver who just punches you a few times and is then defeated by some plot device. I also wouldn't be so fast in saying that Quicksilver is significantly faster then top teir naruto Ninja. Quicksilver when he was a bad guy was only around what, 100-200 mph top speed? MANGA HUMANS =/= REAL LIFE HUMANS!!!
Running speed Quicksilver is undoubtable faster, however in short bursts of speed in battle Naruto ninja would rival Quicksilver IMO

If he had as many ninjas as this coming after him, he would just rip off his visor, and it would be absolutely everything in front of him. I'll try to find a scan for you which shows it off.

Yup I've got that in TPB form it's from the "Dangerous" arc. However in that particular scenario, he blasted an already mangled Sentinel which is still more or less intact afterwards even if it is shut down. I'm not sure exactly how strong the sand sheild is, but it certainly stopped Deidara's number 18 bomb, which would have flattened the village. An attack that can destroy an entire village would appear to be stronger than an attack that can deactivate a Sentinel but still leaves it pretty much intact. His street sweeper attack also relys on his team getting behind him, which means they have to disengage their opponents while said opponents stand their and wait for it, it just isn't a practical attack.
To the person who mention Cyclops bouncing his attacks off things, the only thing that he could do that with is Colossus in this situation which would be pretty retarded.
I'm not saying the X-Men would get totally owned they would probably win due to several nigh invincible members just outlasting the ninjas, but several of them just can't cut it in this fight. They don't have the right abilities to fight the Ninjas. Wolverine, Colossus, Rogue and Nightcrawler could stand and fight but the others don't have the neccesary endurance or attacks to be effective.

He actually had to defend the entire city, so he needed abit more sand than usuall...just protecting himself and a couple of team mates against a relatively weaker attack shouldn't take THAT much sand.

I live in Michigan. I know what a Tornado can do. I've been through multiple ones. Tornado shelters aren't just 'Concrete Reinforced with Steel I-Beams'. Cellars, basements... any of those are suitable. The bigger part of tornado shelters is that they are built below or near the ground, so the wind has less to pick up on. If Gaara simply built the sand in a shape that the wind would flow off of, the Tornado would have little to no effect. It's simply wind resistance and dynamics.
Uh, did you see what his chakra-reinforced sand actually BLOCKED? Reinforced Concrete wouldn't have blocked what Deidara dropped, nor would it have blocked Kimimaro's bone drill. Couple that into the fact that his sand is basically one solid piece rather than something like a roof where parts can come off it, and that it's being held in place by chakra (The chakra of a Jinchurikii, no less) makes me far more confident that it could stay in place.
The thing you are doing is assuming this is just sand. It's not. It's sand under his express control. He has shown the ability to hold it in place despite incredibly strong forces, and since he has Shukaku to fall back on, I doubt any sort of winds will tire him out.
And Zaku times 1000? Are you dense? To do the damage Zaku was doing with his finisher, he was channeling huge pressures with his winds, at LEAST severe tornado force, and concentrating it in one direction. Zaku on a larger scale, sure. But Zaku x1000 is just ignorance.

X-men are being overestimated.
I made this thread to confirm it.
1. Astonishing X-men where Cyclops goes Cyclops unleashed and gets the Sentinel off his lawn is not a battle clincher. Cyclops first needs to get his team behind him. In this time a kawamari or something of the like could let the ninja's get close. More importantly Orochimaru is in the fight. Orochimaru used that long range Kusanagi attack on MK. He could easily do that to cyclops. That attack would take no tiem at all. Taking cover underground and doing it is also more or less what he did. Repeat that anc cyslops is dead, with or without firing.
2. Nightcrawler. He can't teleport them to the other side of the world or something. Even 3-7 miles away isn't that far. I remind you Gamabuta could likely jump that distance. Manda could burrow underground and travel atridiculous speed. Anyway, people are really underestimating the Summon, including Enma and Shuhaku. Honestly, what would you estimate the strength level of Manda wiping his tail is? Enma in pole form, could likely knock Colossus back. Colosuss wouldn't be hurt, but his ass would be backed up.
3. Strom is amazing with preptime. With it the planet can be devastated. Without it one speed blitzy air attack takes her out. Hence someone liek Deidara firing multiple shots at her. She would use lighting to take some out and then get hit, and be out. The Nins when they start moving will not make easier targets anyway.
4. Collossus/ classic rogue/Wolverine, assuming they can take any of the damage, which is a big assumptions, can be dealt with using the Deathgod. Collosus could easily be caught.
5. Each Ninja here, could move at a speed allowing for them, in most of the X-men's eyes, most, to dissappear from their sight.
6. The ninja's have jutsu that can be performed immedaitely to take out the supposed chars who can own them all. Gambit since stated as holding back here, his attacks are no more threating then Itachi Mastered katon. All the Ninja's could easily dodge.
7. Nightcrawler is the largest problem. Since he can teleport them away. However since this is not bloodlusted, although it is a fight to the death. Nightcrawler isn't as big a worry as some think. Teleporting people aside away, Nightcrawler can just mutiple teleport and attack. One mass Sand attack (sand Tidal wave more or less Neutralize him if he's reckless)
I seriously can't believe how comic bias the outskirts have gotten. Maybe people just hate Naruto characters or something. That would be particually strange though, since this is NF. LOL.
The X-men are dam good, but the Ninj'as are not some weakass opponents.
The largest reason the X-men loss is because they're facing a bunch of people of who can each move fast enough to dissappear from the Xmens field of vision. + They have hella firepower. Unlike QS.
Naruto Ninja's win, and take casasulties of 50% at most. Although even that seems geenrous.
The longer the fight continues the more it's guranteed the X-men lose.
Cyclops Unleashed just needs to be attack, or the person just needs to go underground. Cyclops would not be aiming at the ground, nor would he expect such a tactic. Then before he'd know it... slash, snap, etc.:cry

Also, I don't see how they are going to hold onto Colossus, Rogue, or Wolverine for 5 minutes without getting their head crushed/cut off. The biggest problem in this fight is that the nins are hard to hit. If they try to stand still in front of the biggest hitters, they are dead, instantly. I don't think "The Professor" would think, "Hmm, I should stand motionless in front of this guy with 6 foot-long knives coming out of his hands."

Well, a few things:
One nin can actually do it to multiple people. Sarutobi did it to three: Shodai, Nidaime, and then Orochimaru. Thusly it only requires one person.
Not only this, but it seemed as though paralysis had set in either due to something he was doing (Perhaps a nerve hold? I dunno.) or because the Death God was pulling out their soul. Either way, the only way to attack was indirectly once the hold and jutsu was applied.
Wolverine's claws are 6 feet long now? I thought a foot, maybe a few more inches on top of that.
In all honesty, Kusanagi should cut through Rogue (Durability or not, it IS the legendary sword of Japan), and it has a chance of getting through Colossus. Wolverine, but he could be restrained in a variety of ways (Gaara's sand, Hidden Snake Hands, etc...)
Again, I'll also mention Genjutsu, which could be used to bind them down rather than actual physical strength. The restraints of the mind are far stronger than those of the body, someone like Colossus and Rogue could get taken down this way rather than a direct assault.

Just because Kusangi is a legandary sword doesn't mean it will cut through Rogue. Any feats shown of Kusangi cutting through something that is incredibly durable would be conclusive evidence, if you could provide that evidence in a scan or something then I might reconsider my opinion. I, unfortanetly don't own any scaning device in order to provide pic's :cry .
Genjustsu's are, essentially, attacks on the mind. The X-men have dealt with illusions and mental restraints many times in their history (i.e. telepaths, illusion casters, etc...) so this is nothing new to them. Some X-men also have mental defense's that might help them break from or be competely ineffected by the Genjustsu's, like Storm who has been shown being resistant of mental attacks before. Rogue, for another example, has natural mental defense's provided by her absorption of Carol Davners (Ms. Marvel) so she's quite resistant toward mental attacks, so that may help her break from the Genjutsu.
However, we don't really know how the Genjutsu's work to get a correct assumption on how it would effect some of the X-men.

Genjutsu don't affect the mind directly like telepathic illusions though, they work through the senses and are manifested through chakra, I've already had this discussion in another thread

Could you provide a link or something so I could see this discussion? It would be helpful.
Specifically how do they work through the senses, I know it works through chakra, but how it exactly do you effect someone's mind through the sense's? Also how do they effect the senses's, do they confuse them?
Sorry for asking so many questions, I've been curious on how the Genjustus work every since I saw one being performed in Naruto, I assumed it was some kind of attack on the mind but it was never explained in depth how exactly it worked.
Anyway, in order to confuse the sense's don't you have to effect the mind first? If so then don't you have to get past the mental barriers the X-men have in order to effect those same sense's. If that's true then we don't know how chakra would work in that kind of situation to reach a conclusion.

Genjutsu (幻術, "Illusion Techniques"), in the fictional anime and manga series Naruto, are techniques that use the chakra in the victim's nervous system to create illusions; an advanced intellectual Ninjutsu. Genjutsu techniques are notably easier to execute and counter for users of high intelligence, like Nara Shikamaru and good chakra controllers like Haruno Sakura and Sharingan users like Uchiha Sasuke The most commonly seen Genjutsu is simple creation of phantasms - causing the targeted person(s) to hear, see, smell, taste and/or feel, things that are not actually there in order to manipulate them; In other words they encompass and control all 5 senses, but other applications of Genjutsu are rare.
There are several ways to counter Genjutsu. Because it uses the victim's own chakra against him, he can cancel the genjutsu by trying to stop, and thereby disrupt, his own chakra flow. This is called Genjutsu Kai (幻術解, "Illusion Technique Cancel"). If this doesn't work, then the only way for the victim to cancel the Genjutsu is having someone else disrupt his chakra flow with theirs through body contact. It has also been seen that if a person caused themself a "shocking" pain (such as a stab wound or broken finger) that they will wake up as well. It should be noted though, that in the case of some high-level Genjutsu techniques, not even pain will break a very powerful illusionary Jutsu.

Kusangi hasn't actually cut through anything yet, when Enma transformed into the staff it hurt him but it didn't actually cut him. It didn't get through MK's Chakra sheild either.

Thank you, Spacey...hmmm....it uses Chakra to effect the victim's nervous system to see illusions...I see. The nervous system includes the brain, spinal cord, etc...again we don't know if the mental barriers that some of the X-men possess will prevent Chakra from effecting the nervous system in any way to be effective. Until we actually see a fight between a Shinobi and X-men with mental barriers we can't really reach any conclusions. *sigh* Oh well, I guess there just isn't any real way to see how this battle would turn out.

Well, telepathic attacks work in a more direct way that affects the mind directly while genjutsu is more "biological", so yes I'd say that their mental protection wouldn't work against it.

I'll give this one to Naruto. Because i dunno if any of the Marvel characters would be able to touch Gaara (mb nightcrawler). I'd give it to Marvel if they had Magneto cuz Magneto>Gaara. The biggest problem tho that the Naruto characters would have is with Storm. But the Naruto characters have the best 3 team of all time, the Legendary Sannin. And they'd be able to pull off some amazing stuff. Hmmm would wolverine be able to withstand Jiraiya's Rasengan?

You forget, it's been years since the three Legandary Sannin worked together as a team. They've branched off and now work alone, along with Orochimaru's betrayel there might be a heavy tension in working together. All in all, they might have a diffucult time working together, unlike the X-men who have good teamwork.

The Greatest Naruto Ninja's
Sarutobi
Yondaime
Orochimaru
Gaara when he had Shuhaku
Jiraiya
Tsunade
Deidara
Okay, our problem here: Lack of overt feats.
We know Orochimaru is damn strong, but he hasn't actually *done* that much on-panel, certainly not enough to actually make it worth all the respect he gets.
Same with basically all the others. I notice though, that none of the above has Superspeed (at least not that we've seen) which is interesting. (The X-men would probably have bigger problems with Sasuke or Lee....) Now, common sense says they *ought* to have superspeed, but frankly, we don't know.
Yondaime is *even worse* we have *absolutely no idea* what he can do. All his feats has been off-panel.
X-men
Cyclops
Wolverine
Gambit
Classic Rogue
Colossus
Storm
Nightcrawler
The X-men's problem? They're pretty squishy.
If Storm gets airborne she's dangerous. Her powers make her a planet-level threat, so I she could probably knock out one or two of her enemies. Gaara or Deidara (they are the guys who can fly!) would be the problematic ones as they'd go after her.
Gambit is pretty useless, although along with Nightcrawler he could be dangerous (I'm thinking Teleport, energize clothes, scram here. Or exploding Gaara's sand shield or something, could be lethal) he can't explode organic matter though.
Wolverine is pretty much a non-issue, he shouldn't be able to do much except possibly damage-soak.
Colossus can throw it down with Tsunade. I'd love to see a fight between those two, classic brick-y goodness. Not sure if any of Tsunade's medical tricks will even work on a guy made of pure steel. I'm giving Colossus a minor advantage.
Rogue.... Rogue is a problem. She can fly, and fly pretty quickly at that. She has durability to survive and strength to dish out damage. She can also steal people's powers, skills and abilities. Assuming she gets the time to really cut lose she may be the thing that wins the X-men the match, as each person she knocks out adds to her power.
Cyclops: While Cyclops is good for mass-destruction I don't see him being that impressive here. The ninjas can do quite nicely on their own, and he lacks their potent defences.
It all hinges on Rogue and Storm. (The others are pretty much non-issues) if Storm manages to bring enough bad weather to bear or Rogue absorbs enough ninja power the X-men wins, otherwise the Naruto ninjas take this.

Lets analyse the x-men strength and weaknesses:
1 Cyclops:
Strenght: devastating firepower
Weakness: problems hitting fast-moving targets (Orochimaru), not very tough.
2 Wolverine:
Strenght: indestructible bones, animal senses, regeneration, stealth (possibly the most important. If he is blown away and forgotten early in the battle, he can easily score a stealh kill when he comes back.)
Weakness: long-range attackers.
3 Gambit:
Strenght: firepower, agility matching that on Naruto-ninja, slippery mind (possibly genjutsu resistant)
Weakness: nothing in particular.
4 Rogue:
Strenght: flying, strength, absorbtion.
Weakness: may be overconfident because of her toughness.
5 Colossus
Strenght: very strong and tough. (note that his armour can be damaged with high level fire jutsus).
Weakness: slow movement (he can partially make up for it by throwing heavy objects.)
6 Storm
Strenght: firepower, team tactics (using weather effects in combos with her team) , flying, wind can be used as shield.
Weakness: not very tough, possible genjutsu weakness (claustropgobic: her enemies don't know it though).
7 Nightcrawler
Strenght: teleport ( both attack and defense, mobility) , agility,
Weakness: soft hearted (so his techniques are not as deadly as they could be).
From this comparison, the most dangerous seem to be Rogue, Storm, Gambit and Wolverine.

Now the ninja:
Sarutobi:
Strength: devastating firepower, defensive powers, boss summon
Weakness: old age (can get tired quickly)
Yondaime:
Strength: great mobility, boss summon.
Weakness: nothing special
Orochimaru:
Strength: regeneration, poisons, summons, great speed, genjutsu (can immobilise multiple enemies), magic sword can cut super-tough foes.
Weakness: overconfident
Gaara:
Strength: sand defense, strength, speed (in hybrid form), demon form.
Weakness: during Konoha Invasion: psychotic (may provide a distraction)
Jiraya:
Strength: bizzare techniques , boss summon.
Weakness: nothing in particular
Tsunade:
Strength: strength, healing
Weakness: fear of blood, short range
Deidara:
Strength: flying, explosive long range attack.
Weakness: close combat

In the end, I think the ninja would win, but they would probably lose a couple of people. The most important ninja would be Yondaime (using his teleport jutsu to surprise his enemies with rasengan.) and Orochimaru (able to take the opposing team apart with genjutsus while staying alive thanks to his speed and skin-shedding jutsu.)
Btw: What would happen if Rogue touched Gaara or Orochimaru ?
Arilou

(note that his armour can be damaged with high level fire jutsus).
Calvin Rankin/Mimic, with only HALF of Colossus durability managed to explode a *huge* tank of gasoline (the end result blew apart Doom's castle) and he was pretty much okay after that (though he needed some time to cool off before he could return to human form)
That is with *half* Colossus durability. We've yet to see a katon-jutsu (possibly excepting Amaterasu) strong enough to rival that.

There's nothing in the entire Narutoverse that is anywhere near being even half as close to even approaching the strenght of Marvel Adamantium.
Guy Gardner
06-19-2006, 04:40 PM
Well, Hulk didn't touch the Adamantium. The Adamantium doesn't cover Wolverine's Joints, which allow him to be torn apart (Because his skeleton isn't fused together).
I agree with Mike that Kusanagi couldn't cut Adamantium. I have trouble seeing that. Rogue, probably. Colossus, maybe. But through Wolvie's bones? No way.
But since the Adamantium doesn't cover the joints, Orochimaru could simply aim for those. Hence he could cut off various limbs or disembowel him with some well-aimed shots. Admittedly, they'd need to be almost instantaneous so that Wolverine's healing doesn't take effect, but it's possible.
A few more asides: Gambit does not have even close to the agility of a Naruto ninja, and I doubt a 'slippery mind' would be a good defense against Genjutsu since Genjutsu is more chakra related than simply effecting the mind. In effect, you are taking over the senses, which is where it differs from direct mind control.
One wonders: How could the X-Men possibly defeat Hokage summoned through Edo Tensai.

We were joking Mike, I don't really think Orochimaru can disembowel Wolverine.

Yes, that's true. However, Orochimaru would have to know about Wolverine's power's beforehand to come to that conclusion and the chances of him figuring it out in the middle of a battle is slim.

1 There are things in Naruto world that Kusanagi can't cut through. See latest chapters of the manga. Still, I think it could cut Rogue.
2 Colossus can take an explosion with little damage, but intense heat can take him down. When X-men were attacked by hellfire club henchmen in Dark Phoenix Saga, the one prepared to fight Colossus had a high-power flamethrower. (Later in the series, he fought Pyro and managed to push through his flames head-on, but it did cause him a lot of pain)
3 Gambit's agility. Agility and speed is a factor of "world-physics". Naruto physics allows various moves that would be impossible in marvel world (such as various flying combos). Gambit has agility listed as power and he was agile enough to deflect blaster shots with his staff. I believe that, if they were to meet in one world and work under the same physics, he would be on the same level with most Naruto ninja.
4 Telepathy vs Genjutsu. This is a tough problem and one that keeps coming back. I believe they are equivalent, since telepathy also requires some sort of manipulation of energy (neural impulses?) inside the target's body. Since a Skrull morphed into a clone of Xavier couldn't nail Gambit with his power , I don't think Orochimaru could paralyse him.
5 Adamantium skeleton: Joints may not be welded together but the bones do interlock. If you can't cut the bone, you won't be able to cut a limb off, even at the joint. With sufficient strength, it can be ripped off, but that is a different matter.
6 I suppose the Edo tensei can be broken by killing Orochimaru. Also Rogue's drain could possibly disrupt the technique.
