It's the same as World War II, except Japan gets Goku on their side, and American gets Superman on their side.

What happens?

No, I mean Goku vs. Superman in the context of a war. They have to fight each other while simultaneously protecting their own countries, so they can't go all out.

hmm... i'd give it to japan mostly because superman doesn't kill so no matter how many times he defeats goku he will just come back stronger. and goku's blasts cover a long distance

-Superman and Goku fight
-Superman knocks Goku unconscious (and continues to do so everytime Goku gets up until the war is over)
-US nukes Japan

Seems like the US would win to me. And Goku would have to be defeated quite a few times before he's stronger than Superman...

Well, pearl harbor would be an ocean-filled crater for one thing. Nuclear weapons probably wouldn't be created for another couple years since the war rushed their development. Nukes wouldn't have been dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki since Superman would beat and capture Goku. Japan would probably surrender over threat of an unchecked Superman owning their army, navy, and airforce to the point of rendering them all helpless.
