I think there would be some difficulty getting Batman's name... However if we're using the scenario's that were in the manga and characters. I also think if Yagami Light got desperate or felt at any time that batman had figured him out, he'd simply have Misa give him the name and strategically kill off Bruce.

Raito would out think Batman is every feasable way.
Batman's secret identity is a joke. Raito would figure it out by reading some random gotham city articles. Think about it. Batman only appears in Gotham city. Batman is a man with fancy gadgets, a nice car, helicopters and generally hella resources. Batman must be rich. Batman must fight crime for a reason. Raito would connect bruce to batman with such ease it's not even funny. Batman would die of a heart attack like so many other before.

I stop reading the Deathnote Manga when (Warning this is a huge ass spoiler, and ruins the entire first half of deathnote. If you have Not read the entire first hal, do not click the spoiler. I beg you do not do it.:cry When yagami finally was able to unsmart L and made him have a heart attack, just as L found out that Yagami was the killer. That was such fucking ownage. I loved that entire sequence. IMO. The best part was on the helicopter before that whole thing. Anyway, I lost all interest after that. I read on for awhile and saw they were at some arc where L twins/clones/brother, one of them at least, becomes a terroist. WTF! That just seemed kinda.. what's the point to me. Seriously, Yagami had already pwned L and nothing else even mattered.

Well, not only does Yagami have the intelligence to pull this off but he also got has guts. Seriously he'd know Batman's identity in no time.

First of all, Batman is more hands on than L is, when he investigates he will collect his information himself i.e. going to the crime scene and checking things out etc. So knowing him he won't stay in the US and he'll go to Japan so he can be where Raito lives. This creates problems already since his alter ego is a well known man.

If Bruce Wayne disappears for a considerable amount of time, there's sure to be some speculation of where he is. The media will be sure to report this and also the fact that while he was gone, the crime rate in Gotham went up.

I'm sure Raito will figure it out with this information. Plus, if he even has just a shred of suspicion, he'll write down Bruce Wayne's name on the Death Note just because. If the investigation suddenly slows down, then he knows he was right, if not then he'll just try to think things through again.

Ok ratio would win. He has killed many people and avoided getting caught (even though his dad is a FBI agent.) also he is a super genius, and would easily find batmans idenentity, if nothing else he could take the shinigamis eye and then it would be over.

Unlike other Villians Raito never showed himself as Kira. And Kira never really made a TV appearance. Unlike the most Villians in Batman, who come straight to him and they beat the crap put of each other. Kira is never at the crime scene, so I doubt Batman could get clues who is.

Raito on the other side will investigate like he did before, and since Batman and Bruce Wayne act in the open it gives him many clues (L hid in his hideout XD").

So the only real question is: Will Kira simply write his name down, or think up a real nifty death cause XD?
