First of all are you putting it in the right place, second, what is the file extension.

It might not be the converter at all. You might have it in the wrong file extension. But with only the information you've given, I really can't gleen much other than that. Be more specific.

I have placed it in the MP_ROOT/100MNV01 but should i make another folder for the videos?
file extension is that the extra file that comes with the movie like something with MV426789.THM?

no, you have to rename you file as well...
say ive got a file named "Porn.MP4"
then you must rename it to M4V10001 or 2 or 3 or 4...etc. Also, it also depends what file type you are using, what is it creating when you convert a file to MP4 format? if it uses the new ANV style, you need to make a 100ANV01 Folder in your MP_ROOT folder, also note that MP_ROOT must be OUTSIDE of you PSP folder, not inside of it.

hmmmm, well then i dont know what to tell you....mine works perfectly,,, gots lots of p-orn on mine ;)....
anyway, if you could show pics of your Desktop and exactly the steps you are doing, i could help you out better...
to get pics of whatever is on your pc, just press Prnt Scr button close to Scroll Lock. Next, go to MS paint and click edit then paste...if i can see all your steps, i could probably help you out...and to Vegitto te first times its confusing, but once you do it once, its all gravy...

Wouldnt upgrading software make it easier, as newer versions should support more file types?

well now i have learned how to make mouth to mouth(we did it on a doll) and save people!^^
but lets get ot th emore serius stuff , i have taken some photos of how i did it with the 3GP converter
first i start upp the program http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/3586/psp13pk.th.gif (http://img444.imageshack.us/my.php?image=psp13pk.gif)
as you can see there are 2 types one where you change the name of the file yourself and one where the program does it for you
then when i have selected what type i choose which movie i want to make into a psp type( i choose The 69 Eyes music video The Lost Boys )
http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/9159/psp26qo.th.gif (http://img196.imageshack.us/my.php?image=psp26qo.gif)
while i do this i can also choose what type of picture and sound of the movie,if i want the best sound and image which makes the movie file take more space or a smaller bad quality type to save more space.
and now i have choosed which movie and put it into the converter and the converting starts everything goes fine
http://img284.imageshack.us/img284/2348/psp32ok.th.gif (http://img284.imageshack.us/my.php?image=psp32ok.gif)
once the converting is finished i find the two files in a psp folder i created
and i move the two files into my memory stick
http://img284.imageshack.us/img284/1086/psp41dw.th.gif (http://img284.imageshack.us/my.php?image=psp41dw.gif)
http://img272.imageshack.us/img272/7388/psp59xw.th.gif (http://img272.imageshack.us/my.php?image=psp59xw.gif)
http://img272.imageshack.us/img272/8272/psp62ff.th.gif (http://img272.imageshack.us/my.php?image=psp62ff.gif)
as you can see i placed them in the 100MNV01 folder and when i place the memory stick inside the psp and then start up the psp i go to where the videos are supposed to be and then i press X and a text comes up saying : no videos(or something like that) its so hard n confusing :´(

ok, you have two problems...
1) You ANV folder shouldnt be 101ANV01, it should be 100ANV01.
2) MV42XXXX is the wrong spelling, it should be M4V2XXX and the ".THM" file should not be there.
on another note, i dont have 2 on mine. the first file name i have on my PSP reads like this.
M4V10001
and i change the last number to something different everytime...Hope this helps.
EDIT: Reply and tell me if this helped or not.
