ok im really new, so dont chew me out until i start getting on your nerves.


i understand like the basics, well not really, like i know

and stuff, but how do i understand what that means, i see a sign that says

ひと

and its pronounced "hito" which means "person" but how the heck do i understand what "ひ"と" means? i see ひと and know that means Hito but then! how do i learn that that means person?

You learn it and use it over and over. It's just like vocabulary words in primary school.

ひ-hi   と-to   ひと-人-hito (person) ...the other symbol is the kanji.
